FACTS 2009 took place on October 17th/18th, 2009 in Gent, Belgium. This year was special because we had for the first time adjacent boothes with the french-speaking R2 builders (www.r2-d2.fr). It was fabulous meeting these guys, especially their Pastis-spending droids.....
The Wow-Effect when you entered our hall : The Belgian BCD fan club once again ecxeeded themselves.... These guys have by now rented a warehouse to store all their props. |

The by-now famous Jabba set from another phantastic Belgian fan group, the Prospectorīs squad. |

A very charming member of the Prospectorīs squad |

The french Super-Drive. I suspect the motors to be 200 watts each, and two of them per feet. The droid was really, really, really fast. Actually too fast for the confined hallways. |
I |
A bit hard to see on these pictures, but these french (or french-speaking belgian) droids serve pastis drinks, a french specialty, and snacks. The french know their "Savoir vivre" ! |

Try to move your eyes to the long-haired freak lying in front of these stunning girls, still doing his weathering tutorial, with a lot of spectators..... |

Our very own mascot girl Michaela in yet another self-made, beautiful Amidala robe. |

Daniel still trying to get Heikoīs R2 really dirty. He succeeded in the end. |

We didnīt know what movie these were supposed to be from, but anyway, we had to get a photo with them..... |
